Serdjo Lakich, Chef/Owner
A passionate advocate of the slow cooking method, Serdjo Lakich learned the culinary arts at a young age, graduating with recognition from the renowned George Brown College in Toronto, Ontario. In his youth he studied under chef James Stuart at Rattlesnake Golf & Country Club rising from the rank of cook to Executive Sous Chef. He then went on to work as Head Chef in a variety of downtown restaurants. In 2010 He and his wife Diana opened a catering company and in 2012 Marquee Steakhouse & Piano Lounge. Marquee celebrates its sixth anniversary this coming May.
Serdjo has a love and respect for the culinary arts that is always reflected in the fine quality of his dishes. The marriage of design, aesthetics and nutrition along with local sourcing of quality local produce, embody the philosophy that Serdjo brings to the kitchen and to the table. Marquee Steakhouse & Piano Lounge combines Serdjo’s two loves, music and the culinary arts. Hard work, vision and expertise are the hallmarks of his ethic.
