MARQUEE SPRING MENU LAUNCH
We are thrilled to finally be launching the much anticipated 2018 Spring Marquee Dinner Menu! We have waited to usher in the new menu selection as we are still covered in a thick layer of cold white snow even though Spring technically started a month ago. We have decided that we cannot put change off any longer and will be launching Chef Serdjo’s Spring Menu on Tuesday, April 24th. Perhaps it will provide a sense of encouragement and hope that sun and warmth are indeed on the horizon! We had the pleasure of meeting with Brigitte Elise our resident food photographer for our seasonal photo-shoot this past week. She brought along our niece Brydie who is an expert food taster to offer her opinion. In her words, “The Korean Sesame Beef is awesome!.”
EXPERIMENTING WITH KIMCHI
For this menu, Serdj and his team have included some new dishes with Asian influence such as Korean Sesame Beef and Red Coconut Seafood Curry. For the Korean Sesame Beef they are making their own Kimchi, a traditional Korean side dish made from fermented Napa cabbage and radish. This dish will take his team three days to prepare. The Seafood Curry is based on the traditional Thai dish using coconut milk and red curry.
BRINGING BACK THE FAVOURITES
As per customer requests, he will also be bringing back a number of favourites we haven’t seen in a few seasons such as our Escargot Vol-Au-Vent, our Grilled Octopus, and our Shopska Salad. Chef Serdj is particularly fond of the Grilled Octopus as he took much time and effort to initially perfect this dish.
After tasting and much discussion we noticed that the menu is also mostly gluten free and has lots of choices for vegans as well. We hope you all have a chance to visit us to taste the new menu and let us know what you think!
